Alone

Our offices were officially closed today due to inclement weather. (Yeah, that never happens.) But the roads defrosted around noon and I headed in anyway. I was expecting a call from a client, I am insanely busy, and I have to be out of the office all day tomorrow for an evidence examination out of town.

I have to say that I love working when my office is deserted. I get so much more done. And the silence . . . it always drove DH nuts when I was in school because I have to study in complete silence. I also prefer to work in silence--which is hard to come by in the office unless I shut my office door (which nobody does unless they are on a conference call.) But it was silent and peaceful while I was working today.

And tomorrow I get to log 6 hours of billable time alone, rocking out in my car. Doesn't get much better than that.
