Law Firm Drama

Our receptionist called in this morning because her pet donkey died rather tragically last night.

Then Queen Bitch Secretary showed up and said, "well, my dog died last night and I'll still here."

Apparently yesterday was not kind to the animal world. Do pets die in threes like celebrities? Maybe I better keep an eye on Bob.

I'm sorry. What? Donkey? What?

And can you please elaborate on "tragic donkey deaths."

Yes, the situation a little bizarre.

I work in a big shiny city surrounded by suburban sprawl. Receptionist lives in the country, beyond the suburban sprawl. She probably has a 40 mile commute. She raises miniature horses and they are her babies. I didn't know about the donkey and don't know if he was a mini or not (or if there is such a thing.)

Apparently the poor thing got his neck caught in a fence. It was very hot, and it couldn't get to water or shade. It struggled so hard to release itself that it severed its spinal cord and was paralyzed and had to be put down. It is truly a horrible story and the receptionist was devastated.
